Gita began making short documentary films in 2005. She regards film-making as an extension of fine arts, which is also their subject matter. She has documented famed contemporary Indian artists and eminent painters of the “Madras Art Movement’’

Kamadhenu Born in Kumbakonam in 1947 and trained in fine arts in the 60's, Veerasanthanam's paintings are highly influenced by tamil culture and aesthetics. He is the recipient of many awards including the National Award and the President's award. A multifaceted artist, he dones many roles as an actor, writer and social activist.

Kattabomallatam Kattabomallatam or string puppetry is an ancient artform most prevalent in and around Salem district, Tamilnadu. Widely popular as a mass entertainer, Kattabomallatam neither reached a wider audience nor got its due recognition over the decades. This film unfolds the story of three puppeteers; Periasamy Govindaraja and Chenna krishnan in their art space and questions the future of this disappearing art

But the production of the banners seen in our towns and cities today has been transformed by new technologies and materials. Skills with paint and brush have been subsumed within the mass-produced output of the computer graphics industry. The former and the artists of yesterday are left in history's wake.

Sthapathy's mangai it’s a documentary on a renowned metal sculptor, Vidya Sankar Sthapathy who lives and works in Kumbakonam, tamilnadu, india. The sculptor was born into a family of traditional icon sculptors stretching back at least 300 years. He breaks with his family’s traditional form of icon making and his development of what he calls his ‘ own grammar’ of making contemporary sculptures.
